A Bunsen burner is a device used in laboratories (science) that heats different objects for different things. For e.g. Say you need to heat some water in a experiment, you can use a Bunsen burner. A Bunsen burner. To go back, click here. Sophie Brown

 1. Make sure there is a teacher in the room.  2. Make sure you have a apron and safety goggles on and hair tied back if you have long hair.  3. You need to make sure you have a heatproof mat underneath  4. Make sure there is no flammable items around the Bunsen burner.  5. DO NOT put your fingers or hair into the fire!  6. Once your done with the Bunsen burner, make sure you turn it of completely as they can still be on without you seeing. Sophie Brown

 Step 1: Make sure a teacher is in the room before you use a Bunsen burner.  Step 2: Put the Bunsen burner into the gas tap and turn the switch on.  Step 3: Choose the option you want it to be on for example: Safety mode.  Step 4: Make sure the Bunsen burner is on the heat proof mat.  Step 5: When you have finished with it make sure it is completely off.  You can use a Bunsen burner in a science lab, or at a place where they are required. A Bunsen burner should only be used when you are supervised to use them. Sophie Brown
