E-Learning Abdul Latif Roshan Kabul Afghanistan

Vision and Objective  “Facilitating the Change”  Changing Lives of the disregarded and unprivileged by equipping them with the skills needed for 21 st Century.

The Disregarded and Underprivileged  Prisoners  Women - the biggest group of citizens deprived of higher education due to cultural reasons in some remote provinces of Afghanistan.  Job Holders with full time jobs and lack of time to pursue regular studies.  Professionals living and working in the outskirts of Kabul where Universities are nonexistent.  Individuals seeking Masters and Post-Grad education which no Afghan private university offers.  Disciplines not offered by government universities of Afghanistan.

The Means to the Ends  E-Learning was our way to deal with the intended beneficiaries.  IGNOU (Indira Gandhi National Open University), India.  Have been successfully working on it for 6 years so far.  Over 900 students have registered for Masters, Bachelors other short and long term programs.  Our E-Learning program offers its services in 75 languages (including Dari/Persian) – one of the two national languages of Afghanistan.

Rationale  Bakhtar’s Core Competency is its ability to deliver educational services and programs of almost all sorts.  The E-Learning project lies within one of grasp of our Core Competency.  “Knowledge Management” on Macro level (Bakhtar with IGNOU) because we are a new generation of Private Universities in Kabul.  And we lack much of the experience and vision it takes to be an educated society.

Sustainability  Donor Funded the Project now  Our students get a registered Degree from Afghan and Indian government enabling them to pursue further studies on their own.  Students can access their accounts from anywhere they feel convenient to.  Lectures and programs are available in both soft and hard in both English and Dari.  Our dedicated team of professors is always on the watch to cater to students’ needs in timely manner.

Future  Expending Social Awareness and Capacity Building  Prisoners  Electronic Media  Corruption in various sectors  Women Rights and their roles in rebuilding the country, through social, Economic, Political and other activities.  Drug Users  Dog and animal fights and other similar issues
