Pronoun: a word that is used to replace a noun she Ex: Marcy went to the market, and she bought bread. DEFINITIONs Personal Pronoun: a word that is used to replace a noun that refers to a person or thing she Ex: Marcy went to the market, and she bought bread.

Two cases of personal pronouns include Personal pronouns SUBJECT Subject pronouns are the subject of a verb. They generally appear BEFORE the verb.OBJECT Object pronouns are the receiver of the action of the verb or for whom an action was performed. They generally appear AFTER the verb. She went to the store. Subject pronoun Jordan bought her roses. Object pronoun

!The exception! The exception to this is when the verb is a linking verb (and not an action verb). BASIC LINKING VERBS AM IS ARE WAS WERE BE BEING BEEN The exception? Subject pronouns are used AFTER these verbs. The best player is she. LINKING VERB SUBJECT PRONOUN
