San Francisco Green Initiatives The following slides present various eco friendly projects found around the San Francisco Bay Area.

Above are only some of solar panels located above the Sunset Reservoir.

Overview of the area covered by the solar panels.

San Francisco compost operation collects more than 350 tons of food waste and garden waste daily.

Once the compost collected has transformed into fertile soil, it is sold to farms and vineyards located in the Northern California Area.

San Francisco currently has a 86 hybrid buses within its fleet serving the public.

Other eco-friendly regulations implemented by the city include: - City wide ban of plastic shopping bags in grocery stores and pharmaceutical stores. - City wide ban of Styrofoam utensils provided in restaurants.
