AMSR-E NSIDC ppt 6 AMSR-E Cryosphere Products Detailed Descriptions ESDTNameDetailed Description AE_L2A AMSR-E/Aqua L2A Global Swath Spatially- Resampled Brightness Temperatures (Tb) The AMSR-E Level-2A product contains brightness temperatures (T B s) at 6.9 GHz, 10.7 GHz, 18.7 GHz, 23.8 GHz, 36.5 GHz, and 89.0 GHz. Data are resampled to be spatially consistent, and therefore are available at a variety of resolutions that correspond to the footprint sizes of the observations (56 km, 38 km, 24 km, 21 km, 12 km, and 5.4 km, respectively). Each swath is packaged with associated geolocation fields. Data are stored in HDF-EOS format. AE_DYSNO AMSR-E/Aqua Daily L3 Global Snow Water Equivalent EASE-Grids The AMSR-E Level-3 daily snow water equivalent (SWE) data set contains SWE data and quality assurance flags mapped to Northern and Southern Hemisphere 25 km Equal-Area Scalable Earth Grids (EASE-Grids). Data are stored in HDF-EOS format. AE_SI12 AMSR-E/Aqua Daily L km Tb, Sea Ice Conc., and Snow Depth Polar Grids The AMSR-E Level-3 gridded sea ice product includes brightness temperatures (T B s) at 18.7 through 89.0 GHz, sea ice concentration, and snow depth over sea ice. Data are mapped to a polar stereographic grid at 12.5 km spatial resolution. Sea ice concentration and TBs include daily ascending averages, daily descending averages, and daily averages; snow depth over sea ice data is a five-day running average. Data are stored in HDF-EOS format. AE_SI25 AMSR-E/Aqua Daily L3 25 km Tb, Sea Ice Temperature, and Sea Ice Conc. Polar Grids The AMSR-E Level-3 gridded sea ice product includes brightness temperatures (T B s) at 18.7 through 89.0 GHz, sea ice concentration, and snow depth over sea ice. Data are mapped to a polar stereographic grid at 12.5 km spatial resolution. Sea ice concentration and TBs include daily ascending averages, daily descending averages, and daily averages; snow depth over sea ice data is a five-day running average. Data are stored in HDF-EOS format AE_SI6 AMSR-E/Aqua Daily L km 89 GHz Brightness Temperature (Tb) Polar Grids The AMSR-E Level-3 gridded 89.0 GHz brightness temperature (T B ) product at 6.25 km resolution is an intermediate product during processing of AMSR-E Level-3 sea ice products at 12.5 km and 25 km resolution. Values are daily average, daily ascending, and daily descending horizontally and vertically polarized TBs mapped to a polar stereographic grid at 6.25 km spatial resolution. Data are stored in HDF- EOS format. AE_5DSNO AMSR-E/Aqua 5-Day L3 Global Snow Water Equivalent EASE-Grids The AMSR-E Level-3 5-day snow water equivalent (SWE) data set contains SWE data and quality assurance flags mapped to Northern and Southern Hemisphere 25 km Equal-Area Scalable Earth Grids (EASE-Grids). Data are stored in HDF-EOS format. AE_MOSNO AMSR-E/Aqua Monthly L3 Global Snow Water Equivalent EASE-Grids The AMSR-E Level-3 monthly snow water equivalent (SWE) data set contains SWE data and quality assurance flags mapped to Northern and Southern Hemisphere 25 km Equal-Area Scalable Earth Grids (EASE-Grids). Data are stored in HDF-EOS format.
