This past weekend Chaparral High School Theater attended the annual state festival and REPEATED as Tech Challenge Champions beating out 36 other teams. The senior team of Taylor Barbera, Mallory Gibson, Ilyssa Strauss, and Tyler Tignini posted a new record time with Mallory Gibson and Taylor Barbera scoring best in the prop change over category…

…The other Chaparral team of Alex Copp, Michael Perrine, Jordan Rowley, and Gabby Ullman also did well placing in the top 5. Taylor Barbera earned a Superior rating and repeated as critic’s choice selection for her lighting design individual event. Elle Hoffman earned a Superior rating for her monologue performance…

… … Alex Copp earned an Excellent rating for stage management. Matt Merritt earned an Excellent rating for Solo musical performance. Iris Lorett and Josh Swain earned an Excellent rating for their duo acting performance. The theater troupe as a whole earned Gold Honor Troupe status…again.
