Recognition of Experience and Skills in Greece  Until now the only way to prove your professional experience is by  revenue stamps  affirmation by employer  There was no Accreditation System for Qualifications or Professional Experience  2005 Ministerial Decision [113708] regarding the “Accreditation System for Programs, Knowledge, Dexterities and Skills”

“Accreditation System for Programs, Knowledge, Dexterities and Skills”  first 57 certified programmes for training (based on job profiles) have been established  Certified Vocational Training Centres can carry out these programmes  Certification of programmes includes:  definition of profession  analysis of profession  required knowledge  faculties and competences  ways of education

“Accreditation System for Programs, Knowledge, Dexterities and Skills”  Certification of Centres includes:  building & equipment capacity  human resources (Director, Training Director, Programmes’ Responsible)  Certification of Trainers has actually been accomplished and is now valid.  Only certified Trainers can teach in Vocational Training Centres.

 a person that has participated in a certified programme in a Vocational Training Centre will receive a certification that proves his/her training in one of the certified job profiles.  He / She then has the right to participate in the Accreditation Exams of the job profile he / she is interested in. The aim of this System is that, as a result 

“Accreditation System for Programs, Knowledge, Dexterities and Skills”  Accreditation exams can include written / oral examination, projects, interviews, evaluation of technical dexterities etc.  The way, time and place of the accreditation exams are decided by the National Accreditation Centre for Continuing Vocational Training (EKEPIS).  The exams can be organized in a National or Regional level.  Participants are examined and evaluated by a Committee, comprised by certified persons relevant to the job profile accredited.
