 Our symbol is the Statue of Liberty.  The creator was August Bartholdi and the sculptor was Gustav Eiffel.  The Statue of Liberty was created in 1884.

 Our symbol is the Statue of Liberty.  The creator was August Bartholdi and the sculptor was Gustav Eiffel.  The Statue of Liberty was created in  It became our symbol on October 28, 1986.

 The Statue of Liberty stands for friendship and freedom.  When people saw the Statue of Liberty they felt welcomed to New York.  My symbol is important because when people go to New York they feel welcomed because of the Statue of Liberty.

 The Statue weighs 450,000 pounds.  The Statue’s waist is 35’.  The Statue’s tablet is 23’7” and the width is 13’7”.  On the Statue’s crown there are 7 rays.  The Statue’s torch has 24 karat gold in it.
