 This study aims to:  There is a need for investigation, investigate opportunities for students to use laptops in lectures, and consider issues impacting their adoption. 3

What are the advantages and disadvantages for students using laptops in lectures? What are the perceived opportunities and challenges for students using laptops in lectures? 4 This project will investigate the following research questions.

 Identifying problems may affect laptops integration in lectures.  End up with some recommendations for the use of laptops in learning environment effectively. 5

 Literature Review  mixed results in its effect on academic outcomes  decide upon the most appropriate methodology 6

 Methodology  The study employed a mixed methodology approach (Qualitative and Quantitative survey)  Quantitative  designing a public questionnaire,  phrased in both Arabic and English  Ethical approval  conducting a pilot distribution  distributing some 800 online questionnaires 7

 Qualitative.  Guided by the literature review  will involve selecting members of the industry for semi-structured interviews,  so comparisons with previous findings can be made during the analysis within selected theory. 8

 Qualitative Analysis  transforming the raw data into useful information will be investigated through interviewing senior decision-makers  Quantitative Analysis  the use of spreadsheet or SPSS will be applied to analyse the national public feedbacks.  Testing Hypotheses  Writing Results 9

 There is a need for studying e-commerce adoption in Saudi Arabia  This requires an extensive investigation by engaging the stakeholders (public and industry leaders)  To answer the research question  What are the key factors affecting e-commerce adoption in the tourism industry in Saudi Arabia?  Therefore, theory and mixed methodology will be applied to achieve the thesis goals. 10
