Metric Campus Level Compliance Indicators Requirement Due By May 18, 2015Completed C_LA1ALLCertified Teachers All eligible students receiving bilingual/ESL services are supported by a certified bilingual/ESL teacher in core subjects. C_LA2ALL Language Proficiency Assessment Committee The school has an active Language Proficiency Assessment Committee (LPAC) that meets TEA expectations. The LPAC ensures that all compliance requirements are met (Potential LEP, Discrepancies, Potential Exits, Minutes, etc.). C_LA3ALLData Discrepancies By April 30, 2015, the campus has < 5 discrepancies on their LEP Discrepancy Roster. C_LA4ALL Leadership and Sustainability (CIP) At least one (1) performance objective to increase second language acquisition is included in the Campus Improvement Plan. C_LA5ALLIdentification 100% of students have completed home language surveys by the end of the school year. RE_LA2ALLParent Involvement Campuses with a bilingual/ESL Program send a minimum of two (2) parents of ELLs to the District Parent Summit. RE_LA3ALLParent Involvement Campus participates in at least one (1) bilingual/ESL feeder pattern literacy night. RE_LA4MS, HS Access to Languages other than English Each campus provides expanded opportunities for students to learn a Languages Other Than English (LOTE), by offering 1 or more language courses, AP LOTE exams, etc. RE_LA5ALL Cultural Awareness Programs The school offers at least one (1) cultural awareness programs for students, parents, staff and community during the school year. RE_LA6MS, HSSpecial Events The school tracks that a minimum of 25% membership of ELLs participate in student clubs or organizations. RE_LA7ESSpecial Events The school conducts a campus Spanish Spelling Bee and sends one (1) bilingual student to compete in the SAISD Spanish District Spelling Bee. RE_LA8ALLInclusiveness The school can demonstrate that ELL and non-ELL students participate together in music, art, and PE classes.
