APII The 3rd Int ’ l Workshop on HEP Data Grid 26 August 2004, Kyungpook National Univ. 6 TEIN Initiative: Origin 1H2000: Initiative of TEIN Raised  President KIM DJ proposed the TEIN Project during his visit to European Countries (Mar-May 2000) 3Q2000: TEIN Initiative Supported from Both Regions  EC expressed support for the Project at the 15th Korea-EU MM (July)  NRENs of Europe stated support for the project (July) 4Q2000: TEIN Initiative Endorsed at ASEM III (Oct.)  emphasized the need to establish and expand information and research networks among ASEM members
