SPONGES

THE MAIN CHARACTERISTICS ARE: ALMOST ALL OF THEM LIVE IN THE OCEAN, ONLY A FEW LIVE IN FRESHWATER. SPONGES CAN’T MOVE AROUND. THEY STAY IN ONE PLACE. THEY’VE GOT A SOFT BODY WITH HOLES CALLED PORES. SPONGES ARE FILTER FEEDERS. THEY DON´T HAVE NERVOUS SISTEM.

JELLYFISH AND POLYPS

THE MAIN CHARACTERISTICS ARE: ALMOST ALL OF THEM LIVE IN THE OCEAN. THEY ARE CARNIVORES. THEY HAVE GOT LONG TENTACLES. THE TENTACLES PRODUCE A POISON.

JELLYFISH THEY FLOAT AND SWIM IN THE OCEAN. THEIR BODIES ARE SHAPED LIKE AN UMBRELLA. THE MOUTH IS ON THE UNDERSIDE OF THE BODY. THERE ARE TENTACLES AROUND THE MOUTH. SOME LIVE IN FRESHWATER. JELLYFISH EAT PLANKTON.

POLYPS POLYPS HAVE GOT A BODY THAT IS SHAPED LIKE A BAG. THEY’VE GOT A SUCTION CUP TO ANCHOR TO THE OCEAN FLOOR. THEY ARE MULTICELLULAR ORGANISMS. THEY EAT CRABS, LOBSTERS AND FISH.

ECHINODER MS

THE MAIN CHARACTERISTICS ARE: THEY LIVE IN THE OCEAN. THEY’VE GOT MANY TINY FEET WITH SUCTION CUPS. SEA URCHINS HAVE GOT A SPHERICAL BODY. THEY’RE COVERED WITH SPIKES THAT THEY CAN MOVE. A STARFISH HAS USUALLY GOT FIVE ARMS. ITS ARMS GROW FROM THE CENTRE OF ITS BODY, WHICH IS CIRCULAR.

ANNELIDS

THE MAIN CHARACTERISTICS ARE: THEY ARE WORMS WITH LONG SOFT BODIES. MOST OF THEM LIVE IN WATER, BUT SOME LIVE ON LAND. THEIR BODY IS DIVIDED INTO MANY RINGS OR SEGMENTS EARTHWORMS BELONG TO THE ANNELID FAMILY. EARTHWORMS ARE IMPORTANT TO AGRICULTURE BECAUSE THEY MAKE LOTS TUNNELS UNDERGROUND. WHICH HELP PLANTS TO GROW.

ACTIVITIES IT CAN LIVE IN THE OCEAN. ECHINODERM, POLYP, ANNELID AND SPONGE. IT’S GOT A SUCTION CUP ON ONE END OF ITS BODY. POLYP, ECHINODERM. IT’S GOT A SPHERICAL SHAPE AND ITS BODY. ECHINODERM.
