What is the value of the Practice Development groups Give a clear rationale for practice – robustly challenged by peers Last evaluation the group reported: Achievement of regulatory body standards Achievement of professional standards Increase knowledge of evidence base Increase confidence in the use of OT models of practice

The OT PDM and the 6Cs Demonstrates openness about professional practice and invites challenge (Courage) Promotes expertise to improve service user experience and outcomes (Competence, Care) Promote collaboration with service user – helps to explain the reason for the OT view to service users and understand their views (Communication, Compassion) Promotes continuous professional development and improvement and response to up to date evidence (Commitment)
