Your project in Bulgaria… Living and Learning Abroad 2 weeks abroad…

The orphanage: A little history…  Located 8 km from Elin Pelin, Bulgaria  51 children 7 to 18 living in the building  Open all year round  The building haven’t been renewed the last 10 years  Massive building which needs renovating  Plenty of areas for you to renovate, draw murals, plant flowers, and so on……

The Children… 51 children that need:  Your help  Your support  Your attention  Your hug…

Vocational WORHSKOPS…  Workshop founded by the UK team- i.e. candle making, pottery…  Trainers available to train in that particular vocational skill  UK team able to work closely with the young people  The young people from the UK, will not only help renovate the workshops, but establish and run the workshops…

Is that project really needed?  This particular region needs such services  The process can be divided into manageable units  The work is easy to learn  Encourages the artistic skills Thanks to you this project will:  Encourages foreign participation through volunteers  Increase the exchange of knowledge

The participants are also offered many exciting challenges like:  Career seminar  Totally new and recognized qualification  Facebook initiative  The chance to attend a special event next year  Cultural excursions  Spending precious time with the children  Participate in a workshop acquiring a new vocational skill  Market the items, donating funds back to the orphans  Getting a certificate afterwards…

Marketing…  Young people will be encouraged to participation on a marketing or commerce course  Items will be sold in different bazaars  Profit will be given back to the orphanages  The children will be stimulated in different ways …

Anticipated results  Social integration;  Greater understanding of European Citizenship  Expanding the horizons and knowledge of foreign cultures  Change in the attitude of the local community  Creating a Sustainable model for both the districts and orphanages  Increased confidence and self-esteem  Greater social awareness
