GOD IN HUMAN FORM Jesus is our human example. When he became flesh (we call this the Incarnation), he was able to feel the same feelings we do and suffer like we do. Catholics believe that Jesus is 100% God and 100% man – this is a mystery of faith! Watch C4: Ignite Your Catholic Faith - God in Human-Form?

5 WAYS CATHOLICS UNDERSTAND HUMANITY We can not understand humanity by a set of calculations. Instead the Church has 5 statements about Humanity. 1.The Church believes that God is the creator of the whole world. All things are good and humans are the crown of creation. (God’s “favourite creation”?)

2. The dignity of all people lies in the relationship with God…the soul 3. Humans need to interact socially with other humans 4. All people are good but are weakened by sin and called by God to help us be forgiven. 5. Death is not the end of human existence. Life is changed not taken away. We are destined for glory.
