Nature vs. Waste: Who will win? March, 2009 Joon Yoon

Here's some interesting information pounds - On average, each man, woman and child in America generates or makes about 4.5 pounds of trash every day. 1,500 pounds - That comes out to more than 1,500 pounds per person, per year! buried in landfills - Some of the solid waste is reused or recycled, but most of it is buried in landfills.

Here's some more interesting information... This is how long it takes garbage to break down: 500 years –plastics take 500 years 500 years –aluminum cans take 500 years 6 months –organic materials take 6 months 6 months –cotton, rags, and paper take 6 months

This is the future we see if we don’t... stop throwing things out! use less packaging recycle repair and reuse bar the toxic wastes and the non-recyclable discards compost the organic materials (Click the image to watch the video) WALL.E “Day at Work”

Garbage Revolution Here is one of the movements people started to make to keep our earth safe and clean safe and clean! Watch! (Click the image to watch the video.)

What we know now… Our Earth The Earth is ours to enjoy For every little girl and boy. But we must always be aware. That all its beauty we must share With all the children yet to come, Who want to laugh and play and run Around the trees and in the fields. So we must keep our planet free From messy trash and debris With air that's clean and fresh and clear For all to breathe from year to year. We must never ever abuse Our sweet Earth that's ours to use.
