Can the “Interfaith” Church explain its ONE FAITH LORD? The burning question about denominationalism

What is your answer? It has become very acceptable to see religious activities or groups that are advertised as being “inter-faith” or “multi-faith” but how can we reconcile the concept of denominationalism with the Bible’s concept of unity?

“… an organization of people and churches of various faiths…” “The Church Of Interfaith Christians” “New Life Interfaith Christian Church” “The Episcopal Church in Western New York embraces ecumenical and interfaith relations. “ “Pope restates 'defects' of other Christian faiths in document”

If we can accept other faiths in the church why not accept other faiths outside the church?

Many Americans Say Other Religions Can Lead to Eternal Life Following the release of the U.S. Religious Landscape Survey, commentators wondered what survey respondents - particularly Christians - had in mind when they agreed that "many religions can lead to eternal life." A new Pew Forum analysis finds that a majority of all American Christians (52%) think at least some non-Christian faiths can lead to eternal life. According to the survey below most Americans do accept that other faiths offer eternal life.

"A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.“ (John 13:34,35) "My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one” (John 17:20-23 ) God’s Answer The only way the world will trust that there is a connection between Jesus and the Church is when the Church is unified in love.

Christian unity is the sign that Jesus is alive. When the lost world asks “Why are there so many churches?” they are basically asking, “How can I put my trust in Jesus?”

The Burning Question… Our nation seems to be in an accelerated rush to throw off its godly heritage and society is becoming more and more decadent. Could it be that lack of unity among believers has so weakened the witness of the Spirit that we have actually contributed to this predicament?
