Pitot Static Training First Line Maintenance

P/S Testing Precautions b b 1.Ensure pitot-heat switch off and CCT bkr pulled and collared in obvious way b b 2.Ensure static heat switch off if equipped and as above b b 3.Ensure drains are identified and ensure are in closed position, perhaps open drains and inspect for water b b 4.Fit pitot adapter to pitot head and tape off and flag drain holes b b Fit static adapter to side of a/c if fixture is available; with some a/c it is acceptable to tap into drain fitting. - Inspect static parts at this time for deformation / corrosion. Tape off and flag any unused static ports.
