Is Baptism Essential To The Salvation Of The Soul? 1

Many people say NO – but God says YES It is not “water salvation” Jesus is the Savior – not the water 2

Every man who is saved will be saved by the grace of God Naaman – 2 Kings 5 Naaman was cleansed by the grace of God when he met the conditions given 3

When we meet the conditions God has set forth in order for us to be saved – we are still saved by the His grace “One’s reaction to the commands of Christ reflects the condition of his heart” 4

Christ died that men might be saved To get into his death is to enter the place where one benefits from the blessings that come through his death 17

Rom. 5:9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. 20

Rom. 6:3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? 22

ESV because they formerly did not obey, when God's patience waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight persons, were brought safely through water… 29

21 Baptism, which corresponds to this, now saves you, not as a removal of dirt from the body but as an appeal to God for a good conscience, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, 30

Eph. 5:25-26 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it (the church) with the washing of water (baptism) by the word 31

Eph. 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. 32

The evidence we have examined from God’s word proves that no alien sinner can be saved from sin without being baptized by the authority of Christ 33
