Persons with Disabilities

Symbol of Woman with Disability

Symbol of Man with Disability

What do you know? 1. The definition of a person w/disability is “anyone with a physical impairment that limits the range of tasks they can accomplish.” 2. Employees w/disabilities have better records of punctuality, attendance, turnover - but are less productive than others 3. Society has always tried to rehabilitate, integrate persons w/ disabilities. 4. The large majority of persons w/disabilities, even those with severe disabilities, can become independent and productive. 5. Only about 30% of persons w/disabilities are currently employed. 6. The ADA requires employers to make special accommodation for the disabled, which is proving very costly for employers. 7. Job applicants w/disabilities must provide a medical history to potential employers. 8. If you see that a person w/disability needs help, give it at once.
