Presentation transcript:

LEARNING SHOULD BE APPLICATION BASED ROTE LEARNING SHOULD BE DISCOURAGED EMPHASIS SHOULD BE LAID ON RESEARCH AND PROJECT WORK WITH THE USE OF TECHNOLOGY AT ALL LEVELS- PRIMARY AND SECONDARY INSTEAD OF ASKING THE STUDENTS TO CRAM THE FACTS, EMPHASIS SHOULD BE LAID ON DEVELOPING THEIR REASONING AND UNDERSTANDING SKILLS.

THEY SHOULD BE ASKED TO DO RESEARCH WORK ON THE THEORY GIVEN IN THE TEXTBOOKS. EDUCATIONAL TRIPS AND OTHER PRACTICAL ACTIVITIES SHOULD BE ORGANISED TO IMPART PRACTICAL KNOWLEDGE GAMES AND SPORTS CAN BE INCORPORATED TO TEACH SMALLER CHILDREN. THE CONCEPT OF COUNTING CAN BE INCORPORATED THROUGH INTERESTING RELAY RACES. FOR EXAMPLE-- THEY COULD BE ASKED TO CROSS OVER HURDLES AND SIMULTANEOUSLY COUNT THE NUMBER OF HURDLES.

MANY OTHER INDOOR & OUTDOOR GAMES COULD ALSO BE USED FOR TEACHING PURPOSES. THIS EXCITES CHILDREN MORE THAN SITTING IN CLASSROMS AND CRAMMING OVER AND OVER AGAIN.

THINGS WOULD BE MORE CLEAR TO THEM IF THEY DO THEM PRACTICALLY THIS WOULD GIVE THEM KNOWLEDGE THAT THEY CAN APPLY IN THEIR DAILY LIVES THEY WILL HAVE VOCATIONAL EXPERTISE IN THINGS THAT WOULD HELP THEM LATER IN THEIR PROFESSIONAL LIVES

PLAN TO INTEGRATE TECHNOLOGY IS BASED ON THE SCHOOL OR DISTRICT’S EDUCATIONAL VISION IT SHOULD AIM TO HELP STUDENTS PERFORM AUTHENTIC TASKS AND LEARN SKILLS THAT WILL PREPARE THEM FOR FUTURE CAREERS IT SHOULD BE USED TO MAKE EDUCATION MORE INTERACTIVE AND APPEALING TO STUDENTS

A TEAM SHOULD BE COMPOSED OF REPRESENTATIVES FROM ALL SEGMENTS OF THE SCHOOL & COMMUNITY--- ADMINISTRATORS, TEACHERS, PARENTS AND LOCAL BUSINESS PEOPLE WHO HAVE EXPERTISE IN EDUCATION & TECHNOLOGY THE TEAM BEGINS ITS TASK BY BUILDING A KNOWLEDGE BASE IN REGARD TO THE LEARNING PROCESS. TEAM MEMBERS MUST LEARN WHAT SKILLS STUDENTS NEED TO SUCCEED IN THE WORKPLACE, AND HOW TECHNOLOGY CAN BE USED TO IMPROVE EDUCATION AS THIS IS DONE, TEAM MEMBERS ARE ABLE TO GENERATE A COLLECTIVE VISION AS TO HOW TO IMPLEMENT IT IN THE SCHOOLS. THIS VISION SHOULD SUPPORT MEANINGFUL, ENGAGED LEARNING FOR ALL STUDENTS.

IT MAKES EDUCATION MORE EFFICIENT AND ENJOYABLE. IT WILL ALSO CATER TO THE STUDENTS OF ALL ABILITIES AND WILL HELP IN OVERCOMING THE MONOTONOUS AND IRRELEVANT ROUTINE WHICH CAUSES UNDUE STRESS SINCE TECHNOLOGY CONTINUES TO PLAY AN IMPORTANT ROLE IN MODERN INDUSTRIAL SOCIETY, INTEGRATING TECHNOLOGY WILL HELP PREPARE STUDENTS TO SUCCEED IN A RAPIDLY CHANGING WORLD. TECHNOLOGY INTEGRATION IS ALSO BENEFICIAL AS IT SUPPORTS THE GOALS OF EDUCATION REFORM

DEVELOPING THEIR OVERALL CHARACTER THROUGH MORAL AND VALUE BASED EDUCATION TEACHING THEM THINGS THAT WOULD MAKE THEM SELF RELIANT INCLUSION OF DE-STRESSING ACTIVITIES LIKE MEDITATION AND YOGA THAT WOULD MAKE THEM MORE CALM AND FOCUSSED

THIS WILL HELP IN MAKING THE STUDENTS PHYSICALLY, MENTALLY & SPIRITUALLY SOUND AND SELF DISCIPLINED. HENCE FULFILLING THE VERY PURPOSE OF EDUCATION WHICH IS CHARACTER BUILDING

FIRST AND FOREMOST, THE GOVERNMENT’S ROLE CANNOT BE DENIED. EDUCATION TAX CAN BE INTRODUCED ON A PARTICULAR BAND OF EARNINGS. THE SCHOOLS CAN ALSO DO THEIR BIT TO RAISE FUNDS BY RAISING MONEY THROUGH ORGANISING EVENTS LIKE – A MUSICAL EVENING, CHARITY MATCHES, SCIENCE EXHIBITIONS AND FESTIVE CARNIVALS. PARENTS WHO HAVE EXPERTISE IN CERTAIN AREAS CAN CONTRIBUTE FEW HOURS IN A WEEK OR A MONTH AS PER THEIR CONVENIENCE. VARIOUS COMPANIES CAN COME FORWARD TO RAISE FUNDS FOR EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS. CORPORATES MAY EVEN COLLABORATE WITH THESE INSTITUTIONS.

EDUCATION BOARDS, SCHOOL MANAGEMENT & TEACHERS, STUDENTS AND THEIR PARENTS ARE THE VARIOUS STAKEHOLDERS IN THE EDUCATIONAL SETUP. EDUCATION BOARDS ARE ALREADY INTO STREAM- LINING THE SYLLABI AND MAKING IT RELEVANT TO THE PRACTICAL REQUIREMENTS. THOUGH, THERE IS STILL A LONG WAY TO GO. THE SCHOOL MANAGEMENT, TEACHERS, STUDENTS AND THEIR PARENTS CAN HELP IN FUND RAISING & SPREADING AWARENESS ABOUT EDUCATION AND EDUCATIONAL REFORMS.

“ THE ENTIRE SOCIETY IS DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY A STAKEHOLDER IN THE EDUCATION SETUP. THE FUTURE OF A COUNTRY DEPENDS ON ITS FUTURE CITIZENS. SO WE HAVE TO WORK TOGETHER TOWARDS THIS GOAL OF MAKING EDUCATION MORE ENGAGING”
