The Indian basin’s is a known location for hurricanes the season is from April 1 st – December 31 st for the Northern Indian Ocean, and October 15 th to May 31 st in the southern ocean.

Hurricanes are most common in the Pacific Ocean in the west being most active. in some years the Philippines are struck with more than twenty tropical storms.

September 9 th traveled off the African coast,by September 13 th it was moving west toward Puerto Rico. It destroyed property in South Carolina with winds 126 mph and above. It ended on September 24 th.

September 12 th -13 th 2008 landfall near Galveston, Texas which was category 2 damage was about 6.9 billion dollars and twenty deaths.
