Centre Kongelunden - A special care centre of the Danish Red Cross Asylum Department Centre capacity 150 special care spaces 70 regular accomodation spaces 5 residential buildings (The Village) & 4 corridors Common kitchens – 3 corridors with private bathrooms

Centre Kongelunden - A special care centre of the Danish Red Cross Asylum Department Criteria for recommendation of special care Parents with mental illness, who are not (or no longer) capable of taking care of their children. Families, where the neglect of the children’s care is an imminent risk. Mentally ill persons who are unable to cooperate about relevant treatment, or to maintain personal hygiene etc. Survivors from torture or persons suffering from permanent mental illness who are considerably disabled.

The average duration of a stay at the care department is more than 3 years, which is strainful on the residents and their children. 85 special care residents 15 families 51 children 21 singles *as per March 2007
