Select Interim Director by 1 November Proceed with appointment of D-G, but will not appoint until after site decision Site Selection Advisory Cmte: Evaluation plan approved Legal Entity: Incorporation by mid-November 2011 Members, at minimum: UK, NL, IT, AU, NZ, RSA, CA, China Resourcing: Committed cash for SPO < required (16.6MEuro vs. 27.5MEuro) Enough for Year 1 plan Work on basis others will join and funding will ramp up Business Plan group draft a revised plan to reflect expected growth in membership

Pre-Stage 1 : Planning Element CoDR-SRR Work  Purpose of Work o Planning next phase – to Element SRR  What needs to be done?  Which options are to be carried forward?  How much effort?  How much time?  What is the outcome to be presented at the SRR? o Preparation of Statement of Work to reach SRR.  Contract Phases and Milestones o Familiarisation with tasks and inputs o Analysis of input data, identify gaps o 1 st draft plan o Presentation and review o Decisions on how to handle gaps and missing information o Finalize plan o Final presentation, review and delivery.  Deliverables o Reports  Scope of requirements analysis for the element level.  Consolidation and recommendation of viable technical options  Architecture documents for viable options.  Outline of work to be done on requirements, and other items identified in the SEMP for the SRR level.  Identification of resources and time to complete actual work to SRR.  Preliminary estimate of work needed to complete detailed design.  Review of gaps or missing information needed to proceed. o Prepared Statement of Work for the period up to SRR.
