Textbook Award Scorecard (Fall 2010) Success in today’s job market often requires much more than graduating with a high GPA. Getting out into the field to see what potential jobs may be like, attending off campus lectures and activities, networking with professionals, and developing contacts are all essential for students who want the competitive edge. Project GPS 2 has created a calendar of STEM-related events that will be offered throughout LA and Orange Counties this semester to help facilitate these activities. This calendar is posted on our website at Project GPS 2 will award two students a $100 scholarship that can be used to buy textbooks at the FC bookstore for attending the most outside activities. To qualify for the scholarship, you must complete each of the required activities below and then attend as many outside events as possible during the Fall 2010 semester. While required activities may carry over into future semester scorecards, individual events do not. Return this completed scorecard to the Office of Special Programs by December 3, The three students who attended the most events will be notified of their award for the spring 2011 semester. An individual student may only win one award every other semester. Acceptable proof of attendance or completion of an events includes a signature of the speaker or coordinator of the event, or a photo of you at the event with a recognizable background. If there is a tie in the number of events that students have attended, the amount of Service Learning hours completed will be used to help break the tie.
