Lesson 19: Charting and Transmitting Worksheet Data

Learning Objectives After studying this lesson, you will be able to:  Create a variety of different types of charts  Move and size embedded charts  Modify, format, and print charts  Send a worksheet or workbook via  Import web data into a worksheet 2

3 Chart Creation in Excel Linked to the data from which they come Two locations for charts:  Embedded in a worksheet with the data  On a separate worksheet Tip! If you create a chart and then tap [F11], the chart will be placed on its own worksheet.

Source Data for Charts Very important! Select the correct data as the source for the chart. 4 The ranges A4:A8 and F4:F8 have been selected as the location of the source data for the chart

Previewing and Printing Charts Preview how charts will appear when printed Viewed on the Print tab of Backstage view  Use same procedures as you would for printing any worksheet 14 Note! A print previewed chart will display in black and white or in color, depending on the type of printer selected. Tip! Color fills and borders may not provide good contrast in charts printed in grayscale. Consider using shades of gray or patterns.
