The Present Perfect Progressive shows that the action is unfinished shows the action that started in the past and is still continuing shows how long the action has been happening put the emphasis on the continuation of the action

The Present Perfect Progressive + have / has + been + V ing - have / has + NOT + been + V ing ? Have / Has been + V ing ?

Ex: I have been learning English for 5 years BE CAREFUL ! Non-action verbs are not used in the progressive I have been having a headache all day. NEVER !!! I have had a headache all day.

SOMETIMES You can use either the present perfect progressive or the present perfect (especially with LIVE, STUDY, TEACH, WORK + for / since ) She has been living here for 3 years. She has lived here for three years
