Pie Crust You are making 2 small pies

Label your pan

Put 1 1/3 c flour, ½ tsp salt ¼ cup shortening and ¼ cup butter ( ½ stick) in a bowl

Use the pastry blender Cut the fat into the flour until is it resembles peas

Sprinkle flour with water 1 Tablespoon at a time Sprinkle 3-4 T total of COLD water Mix with a fork

Roll into a ball Cut ball in half Roll out pastry and make 2 small pies

Almost done! Crimp the edges Cover and refrigerate ( typically you want the pastry to chill for at least an hour so it is easier to roll out
