Short history The Association “Centro Studi Opera Don Calabria” has been established in 1994 by Opera Don Calabria, a Catholic Institution which works all over the world, having hospitals, homes for children and youth, nursing home, management of parishes, vocational training centres.
Centro Studi has the aim of coordination of social, training and studies activities at national and european levels. Centro Studi works in two main fields: - vocational training - social activities

Mission and Clients Its principal aims are the achievement and the social participation of the persons, especially the disadvantaged ones, and the prevention of social exclusion and marginalisation.
Main Activities - Vocational Training (Centre based) -Community based Training -Work placement (Work experiences, Transition Tools …) -Social Researches and Studies (first of all on disabilty, youth policies, juvenile penal matter, immigration) The central unit of Centro Studi (Ferrara) supports associated Centres in Planning at national end european level.

Locations The Centro Studi’s headquarter is in Ferrara, but it has associated branches in Verona, Rome, Naples, Potenza and Palermo, where it provides different kind of services.
Ferrara – Headquarter Housing comunity for Young People with social disadvantages. Voc. Training: young and adult unemployed, people with disability Verona – Housing comunity and Service for Young People with social disadvantages and offender Rome – Services for people with disability and immigrants Naples – Daily Centre and Vocational Training for social disadvantaged children. Potenza – Centre for disabled people Palermo – Centre for Young people with social problems (penal and/or drug addiction), and Training: young and adult unemployed
The Clients of the services are mostly: - young people with school difficulties (15 to 18 years old) - young people with cognitive impairment - people with acquired disabilities - adult people who are unemployed - immigrants who are looking for job - workers and companies - young people from juvenile court - ex prisoneers - drug-addicted people
