The Joint Council for Child Issues  Was founded i 1903  Has 16 national voluntary organisations as members  Member organisations take care of more than children and young people  Deals with issues in relation to vulnerable children and young people  Advocates for the implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child in all Danish legislation  Nominates members to governmental advisory committees

The Object of the Joint Council for Child Issues  To defend the interests of the member organisations in relation to disadvantaged children, youth and families  To formulate policies on child issues at a national and an international level  To follow new and existing legislation on child issues and comment on it  To generate funds for the work among vulnerable children and youth in Denmark
