Visionary Expectations Students will treat everyone else with respect everywhere. Students have the right and the responsibility to learn. Students must be on time to classes, have all necessary supplies, and be prepared to start class.

Visionary Expectations Students will remain in their seat during instructional time. At the end of class time, the TEACHER will be responsible for dismissing the class. Students will not eat or drink anything during class except when the teacher provides an occasional treat.

Visionary Expectations Class activities begin immediately as the students enter the classroom. It is YOUR student’s responsibility to ask the teacher for makeup work when he or she is absent. Signatures requested first day of school BYOD/Cell phones

Communication Infinite Campus / Parent Portal We encourage you to check your student’s progress throughout the term using Parent Portal. In most cases, grades will be updated the week following the assignment due date. Visionary Homework Updates You can access updates of Visionary team homework by visiting our team webpage via the TJMS website. The webpage will be updated regularly. Edmodo Provides a safe and easy way for your students to connect and collaborate with classroom teachers and other students.

Behavior The Visionary team participates in the school wide BIST (Behavior Intervention Support Team) program to manage classroom behavior. Teachers will intervene early and often with any and all inappropriate behavior. These behaviors include but are not limited to: minor disruption of class (talking out, being off task, or being out of seat), violation of classroom rules, minor property destruction, inappropriate language, and cheating. Behavior interventions such as safe seats, buddy seats, success plan sheets, and team focus will be determined on an individual basis.

CharacterPlus We will be spending the first week of school discussing manners and character with students, building relationships, and team building Bullying-encourage your child to let an adult know Advisory- 8:05-8:30 Blue days-all grade levels

Conferences Student led conferences held in October and February. Can meet with parents during school year by appointment.

100% Club At the end of each quarter, students who have completed and turned in 100% of their homework on the day it is due during the course of the quarter will be recognized and rewarded.  Students must turn in every homework assignment on time. Rewards will include things like pizza parties and ice cream sundaes!
