X,Y,Z Thesis Pattern Keeping your essay focused!

How is the thesis structured?  After a while Stephanie would astonish me; she would turn out to be considerate, forgiving, and an important component in my life.  It follows the X,Y, Z thesis pattern.

What is the x,y,z, thesis pattern?  The x,y,z thesis pattern is a thesis statement that outlines the rest of your paper by paragraph.  With addition of examples/evidence, the x,y,z thesis pattern helps in keeping your essay focused and thorough !

Example  I have many hobbies such as playing football, basketball, and baseball. ” X, Y, and Z What are the three body paragraphs going to be about? Body Paragraph 1= football Body Paragraph 2= basketball Body Paragraph 3= baseball

Example  I became an English teacher because of my love for literature, my interest in how people learn, and my desire to help others.  What are my three body paragraphs going to be about

Let’s try one more!  The problem of pollution in major cities can be alleviated by limiting the number of cars allowed to drive on city streets, creating more efficient public transportation systems, and educating people of the effects of pollution.  What are my three body paragraphs going to be about?
