Target Setting: “ S.M.A.R.T. ” Fitness Routine Seconds App Julie Kenny and Bob Condon Chardon Middle Katelyn Natalie and Eric Drennen Geauga County ESC

Specific : set one goal at a time. Stick with that goal until you decide to drop it for a new goal (hopefully because it has been achieved : ). Measurable : measurable in time and quantity TARGET SETTING: “S.M.A.R.T.”

“S.M.A.R.T.” Achievable : reasonable with one ’ s given strengths and abilities. Setting the goal too high makes it easy to lose motivation and write the goal off entirely.

“S.M.A.R.T.” Realistic : behavior that makes a positive difference in one ’ s overall performance. Fitness goals should always include the notion of a healthy mind, body and spirit.

“S.M.A.R.T.” Time-Related : This is the “… in two months …” part of the goal statement. By limiting the time you have to accomplish a goal you have a fixed timetable to work with and the sense of urgency that will spur you to keep on track.

My S.M.A.R.T. goal for fitness: I can perform _____(#) in the _______ (fitness test). I would like to IMPROVE to ________(#) in the ____________ (fitness test). I will use _______________ (activities specific to my goal) to help IMPROVE my _______ (fitness goal) for the next _____ (days ~ weeks).

My Team Routine # exerciseSimple/ complex Fitness component Who will teach 1 Line jumps 2 Bicep curls while stepping 3 Mountain climbers 4 Hopscotch ladder 5 Push-ups 6 Twist medicine ball
