Topics Discussed today with all grade 12 students:

Students must: make sure that they will be fulfilling all diploma requirements by June of 2016 in order to apply for September 2016 start dates Students must: make sure that they will have completed all the required courses for admission into their program of choice Students must: achieve the required marks for admission and scholarship cutoffs

 OSSD: 30 credits (18 compulsory), 40 hours of community involvement and literacy requirement  ENG4C1 (or ENG4U1) plus any specific program prerequisites (some college have programs for students with ENG4E1)

Metro Toronto Convention Centre – FREE ADMISSION! September 25 th -27 th 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. daily Visit University exhibits! Attend information sessions! Learn about undergraduate programs from University- specific representatives! All 21 Ontario Universities will be represented!

Direct Energy Centre, Exhibition Place, Toronto – FREE ADMISSION! October 19, :00pm – 9pm October 20, am – 3pm Visit College exhibits! Attend information sessions! Learn about programs directly from College Representatives!

October 15 th, :15pm to 2:45pm for students with ENG4U by June 2015 Afternoon will begin with a general information session in the theatre. University representatives will speak briefly about what their university has to offer and any important details about the application process. Students who are in a grade 12 U/M class during period 3 will automatically be signed up. All other students wanting to attend must sign up on our guidance website.

October 29 th, :15 to 2:50pm for students who have signed up for the event Afternoon will begin with a general information session in the theatre. College representatives will speak briefly about what their college has to offer and any important details about the application process. Students will be asked to sign up through Guidance closer to the date.

Bursaries vs. Scholarships OSAP (Ontario Student Assistance Program) Ontario First Generation Bursary  Applicants who are the first in their family to pursue a college or apprenticeship training may be eligible for this award. Grade 12 Scholarship Assembly September 29 th, 2015 (all Grade 12 Homerooms will be attending)

 Students submit ONE application online at  5 choices for $95.00  Application seminars to follow November 17 th (Period 3 & 4 in the library) and November 19 th (Period 1 & 2 in the library)  Attendance at one seminar is expected during a study period.  Students can start to sign up in early November
