He voted sixth in a global poll of the worlds top intellectuals in He won the Nobel Memorial Prize in economics in He has written 20 books and published over 200 scholarly articles in professional journals Krugmans international economics: theory and policy is a standard college text book in international economics Krugman has no children.

o He taught at Yale,MIT,UC,Berkley,London School of Economics,Stanford and Princeton. o currently a centenary professor at the London School of Economics and a member of the group of thirty international economic body. o Krugman was able to explain his complex theories of economics in easy to read books and state of the art synthesis. o Has been very influential in the international finance.

Paul Krugman became known after rebuking the bush administration and proposing a new New Deal. The new plan he proposed placed more emphasis on social programs and less on national defense. Also Krugman argues to lessen the gap between the rich and the poor. "I believe in a relatively equal society, supported by institutions that limit extremes of wealth and poverty. I believe in democracy, civil liberties, and the rule of law. That makes me a liberal, and I’m proud of it." — Paul KrugmanPaul Krugman

Krugman is in the Keynesian school of thought. Keynesian-theory based on economist Keynes that argues that the private sector decisions lead to inefficient outcomes therefore leading to responses by the public sector and the government.
