Scheduling Night This event is for parents of current 9th, 10th and 11th grade students. Review the BWHS scheduling process. Review grade-level specific information. Department chairs and teachers are present to answer your questions about course choices.
Class Room Presentations – February 4 & Counselors visited 9th, 10th and 11th grade English classes to discuss graduation requirements, the scheduling process, and course options for next year. Students received the Program of Studies. Students received a sample course selection form
Class Room Presentations - Continued 9 th and 10 th grade students received access codes for “Family Connection.” 9 th and 10 th grade students will take a Course Interest Survey in class. 11 th grade students already have “Family Connection” accounts. They were encouraged to log-on and take the Course Interest Survey.
Elective Fair – February 23, 2010 During flex period students had the opportunity to visit three electives
AP Fair – February 25, 2010 During flex period students had the opportunity to visit up to four Advanced Placement subjects
BWHS Scheduling Days – March 9 & 10, 2010 Students will make preliminary course choices A two-day event
Scheduling Day - 1 March 9, 2010 Students will receive course selection forms in the morning. Throughout the day (periods 1, 2, 3 & 4), core academic teachers will make recommendations and elective teachers will help students make elective choices. A parent signature on the form is not required at this time.
Scheduling Day - 2 March 10, 2010 Throughout the day (periods 5, 7 & 8), core academic teachers will make recommendations and elective teachers will help students make elective choices. Students will turn their forms in at the end of the day. A parent signature on the form is not required at this time.
Counselor & Student Conferences – March 17 – April 23, 2010 Every student will meet with his/her counselor. Counselors will help refine student course selections and check graduation requirements. At this time, the student will be instructed to obtain a parent signature and return the course selection form for final approval.
Final Course Requests June 30, 2010 is the deadline to change student course requests Changes after June 30, 2010 may not be possible.

Schedule Changes - Electives Students who did not receive their first choice in electives may be permitted to make schedule changes Students who received their first choice in electives can not be permitted to change their electives unless extenuating circumstances exist
