Shape A shape is a 2-Dimensional area defined in some way. You can either draw the outline of the area You can also fill in the area with color

Types of Shapes There are two types of shapes; geometric and free-form (organic) Geometric shapes are precise shapes that can be measured with mathematical formulas

Free-form (organic) shapes are irregular and uneven shapes

Your Group Assignment 1.Cut three geometric and three free-form shapes 2.As a group create three collages: 1.Using two geometric shape from each person 2.Using two free-form shape from each person 3.Using one geometric and one free-form shape from each person 3.Experiment with different arrangements before gluing 4.Glue shapes onto a contrasting color for the background 5.Create a short story or a poem for each collage 6.Present your collages to the class
