Aluka lives in Uganda. There is a thick wall of sticks around his family’s land. He lives there with all his relatives.

Cidinha lives in Brazil. The houses are made from earth packed onto a wooden frame. The windows keep it cool on hot days.

Sara lives far north in Alaska, which is part of the United States. It is cold and snowy there. But her house keeps her warm and cozy.

Yanni and his family live in a caravan, a home that is pulled from place to place by horses. Sometimes other families travel with them along the roads of Romania.

In Cambodia houses stand on legs called stilts. The roof is made from palm leaves.

Fatimata’s camel waits patiently outside her tall, clay house.
