Beavers By: Summer, Trey, Ciara, And Kyle

Information about cells Most cells are very small Invisible without using a microscope Covered by a cell membrane Come in many different shapes Contents of a cell are called the protoplasm

The mating habits of the beaver are very interesting. Beavers are and remain with their mates for life. Although a beaver will find a new mate if the first one dies. Both parents participate actively to raise their offspring, known as kits, which are in need of parental care until they are approximately two years of age. The pregnancy period for female beavers is days. The birthing process can take anywhere from several hours to several days. The offspring are typically born in May and are already covered in fur at birth. The offspring nurse for two to three months and then begin eating the food that is foraged for them by their parents. Beavers remain under the care of their parents for approximately two years and then are sent off to find their mates and produce kits of their own. Then this whole process starts over again in a new generation.

Like all organisms, Beavers get their DNA from there parents. This is known to give certain qualities to make each beaver unique in its own way. Beavers have 40 chromosomes

Beavers eat tree bark, and the soft tissue called cambium. That lies beneath the bark. Trees they seem especially fond of are willows, maples, poplars, beeches, birches, alders, and aspens. They also eat water vegetation as well as water lilies and various berries. rs_eat eating-corn-on-the-cob/

Beavers live up to 24 years old. Beavers grow 3-4 feet _big_do_beavers_grow_to_be Beavers weighing between 35 and 80 pounds as adults gy/conn.river/beaver.html

How Beavers Respond to Dangers If a beaver sense there is danger near they will slap there tail on the water so that the other beavers know danger in around.

Warm-Blooded Beavers are warm-blooded if there are warm blooded their temperature is higher. They live in a cold climate if it is 0 degrees but in there lodge their temperature is around 32 degrees at water level.
