Marketing Overseas s Tradeshows—a good method for finding new customers, distributors, or partners s Temporary Imports—a method for sending products overseas for display and then shipping back to the US (Can reduce duty liabilities) s Carnet Shipments—a method in which your product is shipped duty and tax free overseas for display or sampling but no modifications, additions or changes are allowed to the product

Commercial Invoices & Customs Declaration s Pertinent information—Shipper & Consignee with all addresses, phone & fax numbers, with company and responsible party name s HTSB Numbers—Contain Headings, Subheadings & Suffixes s I.e is for certain ceramic tableware that is valued at certain amounts s Taxes broken down from this number based on General Tariff rates or Special rates I.e. Most Favored Nation, or developing country designation

Commercial Invoices & Customs Declaration continued s Terms of the sale and mode of transport need to be designated so as to not confuse the forwarder s Product name, number of pieces to be shipped and values of the product need to be listed s Italian Suits Example
