Innovations Braille Online: Visually Impaired Students who use Braille will take the Oregon Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (OAKS) online – Office of Civil Rights and ODE Resolution Agreement – Adaptive Test – Up to three opportunities to pass Mathematics, Reading, and Science – Up to two opportunities to pass Social Sciences Proof of Concept Pilot Test: Third Week of May Spanish Braille will continue to be given in paper/pencil – there will be three opportunities

FYI: Equipment for Students Using Braille Windows Computer JAWS 12 (Screen Reader) 32-Cell Refreshable Braille Display Braille and Tactile Embosser

Why? Innovations Electronic Read Aloud Accommodation for all students (must use headphones) – Native Voice Packs – Recommended for English: Windows 7 Mac 10.6 – Linux Machines require Festival – Recommended for Spanish: Capstral using Miguel’s or Marta’s voice
