End of unit projects Choose 1 project to do, if you choose project #1 and work with a partner, you need to let me know who you are working with. A partner means 2 people only. All work must be your own, any suspicious copying of another student’s work or google translator or translator site usage will result in a grade of a 70.

Project #1 100 points 1. You will work with a partner. Both of you will talk about 3 clothing items you that you are thinking of buying. One of you will begin the conversation by asking what the other person is thinking of buying, where he or she is going to buy it, and how much the item costs. Then reverse roles so that your partner can ask the same questions. Try to make comments about your partner’s responses throughout the conversation. For example, you might mention if you think the item was expensive or inexpensive, pretty or ugly, long or short etc. Your conversation should be no less than 5 complete sentences each. You will be graded on: your ability to ask and answer questions. your ability to sustain a natural conversation. correct use of newly learned vocabulary and grammar points. Google Translator or any other translation site used will result in a grade of 70 or below.

Project #2 100 points Create a catalog describing your favorite store, describe what kind of clothing or items are sold there. If your store has an online store, look online and compare prices to a Spanish speaking country and convert U.S. prices to the currency of the country you have selected. Use these prices in your catalog. Make sure to include the country in your catalog. You can make a hard copy catalog or present it in a power point. Your presentation must be done in Spanish and will be graded with the following criteria. your ability to describe your store/clothing items. your ability to sustain a natural presentation. correct use of newly learned vocabulary, numbers and grammar points. Any suspicious copying of another student’s work will result in a grade of a 70 or below for both students. The work you turn in must be your own. Please make sure to put your power point on a flash drive for easier access at the time of presentation. Minimum of 10 items need to be presented and converted.

Project #3 80 pts./ no presentation or speaking 3. Sign on to phschool.com and click on course content. Go to the World language tab on the left and then click on the Student Resources. Select Textbook companion site. Select Realidades and then click on level 1. Scroll down to Level 7A and click on the Internet Activity. Follow all of the directions to complete this project, when you get to the “aplicaciones” ONLY DO APLICACION 1. You will need to print a hard copy to write your answers on and to turn in. Any suspicious copying of another student’s work will result in a grade of a 70 or below for both students. The work you turn in must be your own.
