Share the information with parents and friends and they can help you get where you want to go

An apprenticeship is a real job with training so you can earn while you learn and pick up nationally recognised qualifications as you go. There are three levels of apprenticeship a young person can apply for and progress through, depending on their current skills and qualifications: Intermediate apprenticeship (level 2); Advanced apprenticeship (level 3); Higher apprenticeship (level 4 or above).

There are up to 20,000 vacancies across England on the apprenticeship vacancy section of the site right now, you can also download the ‘Av Search’ app for android or i-phone. To see real apprentices in action visit - there are series of sector specific films to highlight Apprenticeships in key industry sectors (e.g. IT, Finance, Creative Industries, Manufacturing, Construction, Care). Find an apprenticeship –

Traineeships prepare young people to become ‘work ready’. If you’re not quite ready for an apprenticeship, a traineeship could give you the work preparation training, maths and English and work experience needed to move onto an apprenticeship, Job or other training. For more information on the National Careers Service visit nationalcareersservice.direct.gov.uk or call The National Careers Service can help you with: Finding the best course to get you where you want to be Exploring which jobs might suit you best Deciding if an Apprenticeship might suit you Putting a great CV together Searching for jobs in the right places Choosing the right university

LifeSkills aims to ensure no young person is left behind by equipping them with the key skills needed in the future, boosting our economy and supporting our society. LifeSkills brings together educators, businesses, young people and parents to achieve this, as increasingly young people need to leave education not only with appropriate academic results but with the skills that we know businesses need now and in the future. We provide educators with more than 50 hours of free curriculum linked employability resources, as well as dozens of interactive tools for young people to learn in their own time or in conjunction with their parents. LifeSkills also helps to improve access to work experience opportunities, traineeships and apprenticeships.

SEE YOU THERE!
