The English Society aims at raising students ’ interest in English and providing opportunities for students to learn English in a fun way. To achieve our targets, all the committee members have designed many interesting and innovative language activities for our members throughout the year. Therefore, I would also like to take this opportunity to give special thanks to the committee members for their great effort. English always gives people an expression as difficult, boring and troublesome. This, in fact, is quite a misunderstanding. As the chairperson of the English Society, this year I squeezed out my creative juice trying to give our members the feeling that English is intriguing and powerful. English Society aims to provide various methods for members to learn English, such as Visiting international college, having a palatable high tea in a high-class restaurant, reading star signs' fortune,watching popular movies and fashion shows, e.t.c. Being one of the committee member of English society,I definitely have to take up the responsibility to design different kinds of activities. It's tough but pretty excited during the preparation process since we have to search and analyze tremendous information that we've found on the internet. It's certainly trained our summarizing and judging abilities. After the researching process, it comes down to the meeting's time. We had received no training before we spoke and led a function in front of a number of twenty or more members at the meetings. I believe all the committee members have become braver and more confidence to speak,present,or even act in front of a crowd. Do you see the benefits and attractiveness of English Society??
