 Jackie came from a poor family.  Jackie had three brothers and one sister named Mack, Frank, Edgar and Willa Mae  Jackie had three kids named David, Sharon, and Jackie Jr. and a wife named Rachel.

 Before Jackie played baseball he played football at The University of California at Los Angeles.

 Jackie was on a team of white people who did not treat him with respect  Jackie Robinson wanted to be a pro athlete but World War II delayed him.  Two baseballs were thrown at his head, but they missed.

 Jackie Robinson was the first black person to go to the major leagues  In the army he became an officer  Jackie Robinson wrote two books. One book was named I Never Made It and the other is named Baseball Has Done It.
