The Jackson 5 continued to prosper. Jacksonmania spurred more ablums, memorabilia and even a television show. At this point, the Jackson 5 were holding their ground at the top of the charts.

The Jackson 5 established a lasting impression on teens of America and the world. They became household celebrities. They were on magazine covers, Christmas albums, t shirts, bumper stickers and much more.
In the mid-1970’s, the J5 continued to prosper. However, their songs weren’t achieving the same level of success as before. The Jackson 5 continued to perform but artists from The Jackson 5 were also interested in pursuing solo work. A great example of this is Michael Jackson
The Jackson 5 felt that Motown was doing a poor job of updating their image As a result, their popularity began to decline. Soon enough, The Jackson 5 would be looking for a new record label. CBS records signed them in CBS stated that they would grant The Jackson 5 a 20% royalty rate compared to the 2.8% given by Motown. The Jackson 5 no longer worked with Motown.
Jermaine and Michael both pursued solo performing careers. Jermaine enjoyed some moderate success and Michael has become one of the greatest ever.
