View: Meets 50 minutes every other day Is thematically-based, culturally rich, and encompasses the four skills (reading, writing, speaking, & listening) Incorporates fun & challenging learning activities and projects Differentiates daily instruction & assessments based on students’ readiness and interests Includes traditional & non-traditional assessments Encourages students to be self-directed learners through self & peer reflections & evaluations

SPANISH CURRICULUM Grade 6 Topics Semester 1: At home with my Family Semester 2: Let’s Eat Grade 8 Topics Semester 1: We’re Celebrating Semeter 2: Let’s Travel In all grades, students… Receive a marking period grade that benchmarks their achievement on classwork, homework, assessments, & projects. Track your child’s progress using GENESIS. Participate in 2 culminating performance-based assessments that challenge students to communicate using their highest level of language proficiency. Projects encourage students to create multimedia presentations & allow some opportunity for student choice based on interest and readiness. Are offered opportunities for enrichment credit (See my website for more information) Should use the school website & my classroom page to receive important class information.
