The Sisters Club By: Jaclyn#12

Characters  Stevie- Stevie is the main character, and she’s the middle child in her family, she’s the cooker and the peace maker.  Alex-Alex is Stevie’s older sister, she is the actress in the house.  Joey- Joey is the youngest sister she is the writer and reader in the family.  Scott Howell- Scott is a boy Alex has been crushing on since 4th grade, she ALWAYS talks about him!

Summary This book was about three sisters, Alex, Stevie, and Joey. They form a club, The Sisters Club. The Sisters club is where they have meetings and do fun stuff like putting marshmallows between your toes. They also talk about secrets and gossip. In this book Alex gets the role of Beauty in ‘Beauty and the Beast’. Scott Howell, who Joey and Stevie call Scott Towel, got the role as Beast. Lots of funny things happen and interesting twists to the story, you will have to read to find out more.

Problem  The problems in the story are…  Their mom gets a job on TV and the dad has to work late at the theater, Alex is with Scott after school every day to practice their lines, Stevie and Joey have to make dinner for themselves and feel like the family is falling apart.  Alex trips and falls in the middle of the play, and she ends up breaking her toe.  Alex can’t stand up because of her broken toe so she can’t continue with the play.

Solution  Stevie is the only one who knows Beauty’s lines she takes Alex’s place in the play as Beauty.  In the end, when the play is over, the family gets to eat dinner together and spend more time together.
