Complications An event after the Point of Attack which intensifies the flow of the play’s action in a certain direction by making the main thread of the plot more difficult, involved, or intricate, it increases interest and suspense.

Rising Action A blanket term for the escalating complications that increase interest, sympathy, and suspense, ultimately leading the play’s conflicting forces to the climax of the play. Rising actions begins at the play’s inciting incident or point of attack and continues right up to the climax.

Crisis When the two conflicting forces meet and conflict for the last time. It’s the high point of tension during the play.
