The Sisters Club Written by : Megan McDonald

Setting The setting takes place mostly in the Reel`s house. The sisters club meetings are in Alex`s room. The setting takes place in present time and also at the theater located at the girls’ school.

Plot In the beginning we learn the family is all actors except for Stevie (the middle girl). Mom accepts an acting job on the Fondue Sue cooking show. Alex (the oldest girl) tries out for the Beauty and the Beast play at school. She gets the role as Beauty and is so happy because the boy she likes is the Beast. Scott Howell (Beast) comes to dinner at the Reel`s house for fondue. Stevie and Joey embarrass Alex by saying, “ In the play you have to kiss Scott Howell paper towel”. Alex gives her sisters the silent treatment. Alex has her play and at the end of scene 2 she slips and can’t continue performing. Stevie, who knows all the lines from listening to Alex rehearse, fills in for her and finishes the play.

In my opinion, I think this book is wikitastic because I have read it three times and it is funny but it also teaches you lessons like not to tease or be mean to your sister or brother.
